1. Agreement and enrolment
These terms apply to courses, classes and learning services provided by Learn French with Dr. E! (the “Academy”). By enrolling or paying for a programme, the learner—or a parent or guardian where applicable—accepts these terms. Enrolment is confirmed only after all required information and payment have been received and accepted.
2. Fees and no-refund policy
All fees paid to the Academy are non-refundable. This includes where a learner changes their mind, cannot attend, misses classes, has scheduling or technology difficulties, relocates, or does not complete the programme. Learners should confirm their availability, equipment and course suitability before paying. This policy does not remove any mandatory rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
3. Course delivery and changes
Courses may be delivered online using third-party platforms. Learners are responsible for suitable internet access, devices and a quiet learning environment. We may reasonably change an instructor, timetable, platform, lesson format or course content when necessary. If the Academy cancels an entire programme and does not offer a reasonable replacement or transfer, any remedy will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
4. Attendance, punctuality and conduct
Learners are expected to attend punctually, participate respectfully and follow instructor directions. Harassment, discrimination, disruption, academic dishonesty, recording without consent, or sharing access details is prohibited. We may remove a learner whose conduct materially affects safety or learning; fees remain non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
5. Recordings and missed classes
The Academy does not guarantee replacement classes, recordings or individual catch-up sessions for learner absences. Where recordings are made, participants will be informed as appropriate. Recordings and class materials must not be downloaded, shared, sold or published unless expressly permitted.
6. Learning outcomes
We provide structured instruction and support, but progress depends on attendance, participation, practice and individual circumstances. We do not guarantee examination scores, immigration outcomes, employment, fluency within a fixed time, or any other specific result. References to TEF/TCF Canada describe a learner goal and do not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the examination provider.
7. Intellectual property
Course slides, workbooks, recordings, exercises, methods and other materials are for the enrolled learner’s personal study only. They may not be reproduced, distributed, taught, sold or made publicly available without written permission.
8. Privacy and communications
We may use learner information to administer enrolment, deliver classes, provide support and send necessary programme communications. Marketing messages will be handled in accordance with applicable consent requirements. Learners must keep their contact details current.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Academy is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, third-party platform failures, learner internet problems or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or legal rights that cannot be excluded.
10. Contact and updates
We may update these terms for future enrolments. The version accepted at enrolment applies unless a change is required by law or agreed with the learner. Questions should be sent to info@frenchwithdre.com.
